Biography
Daniel W. Schmidt was the original keyboardist for Oingo Boingo. He played on their original EP, which included their first single "Only a Lad". He also played on Danny Elfman's first film score, "The Forbidden Zone".
Daniel also co-wrote the Village People album "Renaissance". His co-writers on that album included Howie Epstein of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, and Fergie Frederiksen of Toto.
Daniel's 16-year old daughter Christy just received a publishing and production deal with Dann Huff, producer for Taylor Swift and Keith Urban.
