DJ Cary makes compilation albums of mostly downtempo/ambient/world fusion music for Magnatune. She has a bio on her Magnatune artist page.
She also hosts a regular music podcast series called "Expand Your Musical Horizons," which promotes indie artists–some from netlabels and some from indie labels – featuring downtempo, trip-hop, dub, psybient, and other chilled beats. You can find all the episodes for "Expand Your Musical Horizons" online.
As a Last.fm user (attitune), she tries to scrobble indie artists as much as possible to get them more visibility online.
