Biography

In the beginning God (Elohim) said, "Let there be light." Thousands of years later, out of one nation plagued by civil war and another where tradition superseded right and wrong, rose 5 believers of Jesus (Yahshua) who combined everything they had for the glory of their God (Elohim) in every walk of their lives.

A band, formed with the sole purpose of extending the Kingdom of God (Elohim) through all spheres of their lives. From a predestined meeting at a local Christian fellowship, these two sets of brothers began diversifying their music and lyrics to reflect every aspect of life in accordance with God's (Elohim's) Word. The Abraham brothers (Romesh, Aravind and Rakesh) in friendship and unity with the Luther brothers (Nicolas and Rufus) do indeed give everything they have for their Maker.

CrewC5's first and possibly best known song, written in just 45 minutes, aptly titled 'Cause & Effect', chronicled the life of Jesus Christ (Yahshua Ha Mashiach) as a testimony to both believers and unbelievers. The words "Jesus is our Lord and Majesty" continue to resonate in many people's ears. Consisting of folk-like verses breaking into power ballad choruses, 'Cause & Effect' remains a song synonymous with CrewC5.

With their next song, titled '24/7', featuring another set of brothers (Ashwin and Avinash) who happened to be cousins of some of the band (The Abraham’s), CrewC5 ventured into an infusion of pop-rock and hip-pop with subtle undertones of reggae. '24/7' is a paradox, in that although the music and vocals are light-hearted and easy on the soul, the words leading up to the chorus portray a person who's desperately seeking hope in a world where "all the people" he had met, told him things he could try but "nothing worked" for him. After giving up all hope, this person finally meets a friend who tells him about the love of Jesus (Yahshua) and the saving grace of God's (Elohim's) Son. He learns that the love God (Elohim) has for him “feels like heaven” which is what’s really “worth livin’ 24/7”. The song was written as a conversation between a believer and an unbeliever and is widely used by CrewC5 whenever they do outreach programs.

CrewC5's latest song, 'The Greatest Gift', offers powerful lyrics partly based on Romans chapter 8 verses 38-39 and also 1 Corinthians chapter 13 verses 4-7. 'The Greatest Gift' speaks of God's (Elohim's) unyielding love for mankind, and combines the formation of the world to the sacrifice which Christ chose to pay on the cross for everyone as a sign of “His love for us”. Words such as "Neither death nor mortal life, can separate us from the love of Christ" rest in the heart of the Chorus. Alongside this lie verses so refreshingly and eloquently put, such as, "The universe caused simply by Your words. You alone brought Light unto our world. Out of Your love man from dust was made. Perfectly formed in Your image.” Words such as ‘Light’ have a hidden message about the creation of the world and speak of both the physical light God (Elohim) created and Jesus (Yahshua), “the deity of One incarnate”, being the light of the world. 'The Greatest Gift' has a catchy pop-rock sound, with the highlight being the lead guitar dominated chorus. Possibly their best lyrical song, 'The Greatest Gift' is certainly a future musical hit. According to CrewC5, The Greatest Gift is love.

CrewC5 continue pushing the boundaries of music especially within the body of Christ (which is His church) to this very day. With a clear and unshakeable faith forever emphasising that all glory, honour and praise has to go to their Lord God (YHWH Elohim) alone, CrewC5 are not ones to shy away from saying that any success they have is not due to their might or by their power, but solely by the Spirit of God (Ruach Ha-Kodesh). Central in all their work is the tagline, “5 Souls, 1 Goal.” CrewC5 is certainly a band here to stay.

CrewC5 themselves wish to thank their fans for all their prayers and support and humbly request each one to keep them in their prayers. But above all else, CrewC5 wish to give all glory, honour and praise to Jesus Christ (Yahshua Ha-Mashiach) and to Him alone.
