Biography
Music has always been a huge role in Conor Jay's life, from an early age he was infatuated with old cassette tapes of rock music and early 90's dance. At the age of 12 he started learning guitar and soon progressed to the drums, where his then interest was in rock music. Then at 18 his new found love for electronic music brought Conor to the ever expanding world of Producing & DJing.
Conor launched straight into producing his own music just over a year ago, setting out to get his name and his music out there! His first production was selected and signed by dance music legend Pete Tong to his own Bedroom Bedlam label, with the track being selected by viewers of Tong's internet TV show as Number one in the chart for that week!
This past year has seen Conor release music on Mad Hatter, Land Of Voodoo and Cubism and there are a number of forthcoming releases and remixes on Starlight, Whartone & Stylus Recordings. These releases gaining support from the likes of Carl Cox, Paul Thomas, Sonny Wharton, Kim Fai etc. Recently two of Conor's tracks were licensed to a Global Gathering promo mix CD mixed by Paul Thomas.
Inspired by dance music greats such as Daft Punk, Pete Tong & Carl Cox, Conor has developed a love of many genres of music, from techno to House and most things in-between! He has set out to develop and perfect his production sound this year, focusing on the house and techno side of things and will no-doubt be on full throttle in the studio over the coming months with many more releases and remixes under way!
