Composition Of Sound was formed in March 1980 by Vince Clarke (vocals and guitar), Martin L. Gore (keyboards) and Andrew Fletcher (bass). The band played only a few gigs in their hometown Basildon with a handful of songs, including: Addiction (Ghost of Modern Time), I Like It, Reason Man, Television Set, The Price of Love, Tomorrow's Dance.
