easily my favorite working composer, avant-garde or otherwise. despite the gravity of his sound, there’s so much vulnerability conveyed in his playing, especially on recent projects. he’s always been compelling though. nothin conveys the sheer determination needed to live like “Fear of the Unknown and the Blazing Sun” to me. what a profoundly moving musician.

Can I just gush about how transfixing and hauntingly beautiful "Infliction" is? Has to be one of his very best uses of hypnotizing rhythm. I have loved almost every studio album Stetson has put out, but good god Wept For the Sea has a chokehold on my mind and soul recently.

I've always liked Colin, always gave him props for using bass sax and very high quality recording techniques, but he's also kinda gimmicky. Many of his songs never had too much replay value for me, personally

Will he score Midsommar maybe? What would a saxophonist do for a film that probably will have traditional folk music? Maybe this difference would make the results even more interesting. I still can't believe that some of the pieces on Hereditary were done with horn instruments due to the completely modified and unique results.
