I used to listen the AROBTTH album in a continuous loop forever and this song never made it to the top 3, when on one terrible day I put my headphones on, listening to this on full blast and it just clicked and I was crying my eyes out, because it just spoke to me in so many ways. And ever since this song is their absolute best to me. And there will never come anything close again.

You understand!!! The sheer power of this song blasting in your headphones is where it shines, that's how I realised how good it was. Of course I've heard the album a couple times and didn't think much of the song, but as an individual track it's the best.

yes!!! and it hits differently when you're sad, alone, with headphones on, and lying in bed at night. i did that once and that was when i really captured the power of this masterpiece.

Some people need to just accept that popular doesn't equal bad. Coldplay has merit and no matter what they make now, they'll always have gold like this. I love waiting for that chorus, gives me chills every time.

This reminds me the most of a cold weekend in Michigan I spent wondering what the hell I was doing with my life.

A '90s shoegaze band with niche appeal would be lauded on this website for putting out something like this. Undoubtedly this is a popularly appreciated work but it's sad that it's totally overlooked by some of the most dedicated music lovers.

I know it's "cool" to hate Coldplay and Chris Martin doesn't help himself at times, not exactly much of a rock star but songs like this are undeniably brilliant. I mean I aren't much of a fan of anything beyond Viva La Vida when they essentially became a pop band but those first two records especially are absolutely first class.
