Biography
Closet Organ are a Glasgow-based band formed by high-school friends in 2001, who formerly went under the name 'The RipOffs' before realising that it was a pretty terrible name.
A rough demo which barely reflected the raw energy of their live performance, followed by a self-produced EP, caught the interest of both BBC Radio (the station's Niall-Iain showcased the band on his show) and XFM Scotland, with Jim Gellatly picking the band as his "Beatbreakers".
Radio play led to gigs in some of Scotland's best-loved venues such as The 13th Note, Barfly, King Tut's Wah Wah Hut and even the arena-sized SECC. Since then, there have been ups and downs, but somehow the Organ just won't die. After almost killing each other on numerous occasions and refusing to speak for a few years as a result, it was decided that a love for creating noise pish outweighed their mutual hatred, and the band have returned bigger than ever.
