Claus Joachim von Wagner (* November 28, 1977, in Munich) is a German cabaret artist. He grew up in Upper Bavarian Miesbach as the son of North German parents (father, a lawyer, and mother, a housewife). After completing his Abitur (secondary school diploma), he pursued a Magister degree at Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich, majoring in Communication Sciences, Modern and Contemporary History, and Media Law. He completed his studies in 2003, earning the academic degree of Magister Artium. The subject of his thesis was "Political Cabaret on German Television: Between Social Critique and Self-Promotion. An Expert Survey." His first cabaret program, "Warten auf Majola," was developed in 1997 during and after his studies.

In parallel to his solo career, he was a member of the First German Forced Ensemble from 2004 to 2014. The trio consisted of Claus von Wagner and his colleagues Mathias Tretter and Philipp Weber.

Since March 2012, von Wagner has been part of the "heute-show." Since February 2014, he has been co-hosting the cabaret show "Die Anstalt" on ZDF, alongside Max Uthoff. Claus von Wagner resides in Munich and has a daughter.
