Biography
Chasing The Fall was formed by frontman and writer Justin Carder after he left the popular local band "Hap-Hazard". Justin grabbed his old HH bandmate Daniel McHaney for the role on guitar. Justin's brother Ryan Carder was a natural fit behind the drums and brought energy and flare to the band. Jerry Cordova was the last piece to fit into the CTF puzzle as he stepped in on Bass. The band went into the rehearsal studio and put the finishing touches on what would be their debut record. They booked sessions with local recording legend, Barry Poynter (Juliana Theory, Living Sacrifice, Mindrage, and Chomsky). You can buy the CTF record right here on the site! I've had a lot of people ask me what's up with CTF?
Well, here it is…..
Chasing the Fall is taking a break, putting it on pause, and pursuing other musical endeavors. In the course of our time as a band, we had to part ways with Daniel McHaney and Jerry Cordova. Daniel felt the desire to pursue his own musical path and left the band to write and record a solo record. Jerry Cordova was asked and agreed to join the local rock band "Starkz". With the loss of two bandmates and the difficulty in finding quality musicians in Arkansas……Ryan and I decided to pursue other musical endeavors as well.
Ryan is currently on tour with Tooth and Nail recording artist "As Cities Burn". ACB has toured all over America and is currently sharing the stage with one my favorite new bands "Dredg". Ryan is having a blast and will be moving to Cali for the next few months to continue his work.
I was asked by my good friend John LeCompt (Evanescence) to join his new band "Machina" with former Future Leaders of the World frontman, Phil Taylor. I have been drumming for Machina for a few months now and have been touring extensively. We're heading out to LA in a few months to showcase for several major record labels and to write a song with rock guitar legend Mick Mars of Motley Crue!
