14 is the unofficial debut album from Charli XCX, originally planned for release in 2008.

Taking inspiration from artists such as Hadouken!, Kate Nash and Calvin Harris and “things like ‘afro-beatz’ and ‘other jamz’”, Charli recorded this fourteen track album when she was fourteen, but slotted it for release in 2008, after she had turned fifteen.

Charli sung all lead and backing vocals, and did the instruments for every track, excluding “Lucy” which featured drumming work from Darren Bazzoni, who was the lead, and only, producer for this album. In the album’s booklet, Charli described the album as being, “about my mates and experiences”.

Although the album was slated for release in 2008, it was never given a full commercial release, instead only seeing a limited amount of copies being given to friends and presumably press members. The album was considered lost until mid-2013, when it appeared for sale on online auction site, eBay. Not long after the auction finished, the full album leaked online.
