Biography
Perth-based heavy-alternative outfit Candy Guts formed at the start of 2017.
Within a few months of conception the three-piece began delivering their heavy-hitting, live performance to venues across Perth.
Candy Guts have supported the likes of American surf-rock giants WAVVES & Canadian rockers The Courtneys. They have also enjoyed sharing the stage with a ton of national and local mates including; The Belligerants, The Bennies & Stella Donnelly.
Candy Guts have been nominated for a WAM award for 'Most Popular New Act' and played WAMFest alongside some of WA's favs on the Badlands stage in November 2017.
With influences including Cloud Nothings, FIDLAR, DZ Deathrays, The Drones, Sonic Youth and Pity Sex, they draw upon a strong sense of melodic sensibility but still insist on brutally beating up your eardrums with their fuzzy wall of sound.
Candy Guts recorded their debut single 'Vax' at Blackbird Studios with Dave Parkin (Tired Lion, Jebediah, Abbey May) and launched it at The Bird on the 27th of September.
They will be launching their second single 'Go Away' off their debut EP at Jack Rabbit Slims on April 7th with support from Carla Geneve.
