"Quiet" is the sixth track from Camila Cabello's third studio album "Familia", released on April 8, 2022 through Epic Records. The synth-pop track, written by Cabello with Scott Harris and Ricky Reed. On “Quiet” Camila opens up and shares the way she feels and how her body reacts when she’s got the boy she likes close. She’s most likely talking about her most recent romantic relationship, Shawn Mendes, since most tracks from Familia were written before the couple split on November, 2021.
"Quiet" was the first song Cabello worked on for Familia, working with producer Scott Harris for the first time. "I remember voice-memoing him in my house in Miami," said Cabello. That same day, on Cabello's bedroom, they wrote the hook for "Boys Don't Cry". However, Cabello and Harris never finished writing "Quiet" until Cabello mentioned it on the last album listen-back, so they finished it with the song's co-producer Ricky Reed, and the song was a last minute addition on Familia.
