This one quickly became my favorite album of theirs. When Love is Dead came out, I didn't quite like it, and while I do now, it never made me feel any strong attachment to it. I thought it was going to be a turning point, that moment when you no longer enjoy the new music of your favorite band. Screen Violence truly, truly surprised me.

I hadn't thought about Chvrches in years when I went to my favorite coffee shop and they were randomly playing this whole album. Had to find out what it was from the barista. This one is so good, definitely their best imo.

A close second favorite from me. Every Open Eye still beats it for me but it got some of my favorite Chvrches songs on it

O instrumental aparecendo mais nesse álbum simplesmente ficou divino, sem defeito e sem músicas ruins ❤️✨

This album is something really special. Seems like they recaptured some magic, found themselves again after the last record. This one has a lot of gems in it: the first 6 tracks are all perfect, I particularly like the direction they took with songs like How Not To Drown (that darker approach). It seems like a very personal record, since the reflections Lauren is bringing are actual and current (see He Said She Said, Final Girl, Good Girls). Love it.

I didn't hate Love Is Dead, it was actually the album that got me into them (hadn't heard about them before, I'm not good at looking for new music) but this is way better!

better than love is dead on a creative front but it's their least consistent album imo.

Probably helps that they produced it themselves again, unlike with Love Is Dead.

Nightmares gives me so much chills! Lauren voice is on fire on that track, and I love the dark atmosphere.

for me, personally, violent delights is kinda different from all the tracks cuz it has a breakbeat structure. i love it. and the best single is definitely how not to drown. <3

I like some songs from this album. But "Their best" or "Album of the year"? Definitely not.
