Biography
Burke Trieschmann is a composer, sound designer and multi-instrumentalist from San Francisco, California who has been working on soundtracks for the audio and video game industry since 1991. His most recent credit was for additional sound design on Tomb Raider: Underworld (2009).
His Production Company, "Open Door Productions" offers complete sound design and audio production packages for video games, film, video, and other interactive media. Trieschmann has composed music for a variety of gaming systems including the 3DO, Sega Saturn, PS1, PS2, PS3, PC, Xbox and Xbox 360. He was also involved in the sound design for Simpsons: The Movie.
Trieschmann was the in-house sound designer for video-game developers, Toys For Bob, for a number of years, lending his composing talent to many of their earlier games such as Star Control II, The Horde, Pandemonium 1 & 2 and 102 Dalmations. Trieschmann's work on The Horde earned him an award for Best Musical Score from Computer Gaming World in 1994.
During the 2000s, Trieschmann continued to work for Toys For Bob and publishers, Activision, on titles such as Disney's Extreme Skate Adventure, Tony Hawk's Downhill Jam, and Madagascar 1 & 2. He has also done extensive work for many other publishers such as Konami, Eidos, Maxis and Dreamworks on games such as Shrek Super Slam, Lord of the Rings (Return of the King), ToeJam & Earl III, Tiger Woods Golf (2003), James Bond ("Agent Under Fire" & "The World is not Enough"), and others.
