Biography
Buckelwale is an atlantic biomusic-trio led by Solo-Wal. Hailing from the North American areas of the Atlantic Ocean the band can be considered part of the so-called "New Wave of Oceanic Meditation Sounds". Even in their first days they had a strong fanbase but it was only after the addition of "Wal in der Ferne" that the band gained international respect for successfully merging minimalistic folk sounds with unusual vocal stylings.
The band is often thought to be a quartet as many fans actually believe "Verlangsamter Solo-Wal" to be an individual band member.
While the band was accepted pretty fast by former leaders of
the genre there have always been people criticizing the fact that
the overall sound of Buckelwale is too much influenced by the underwater recording techinques. This, however, was proven false when the band released their hit single "Turm Wale", recorded entirely overwater.
