Brent Smith is in the band Shinedown as the lead singer. He was born in Knoxville, Tennessee. His hometown is Orlando, Florida. He has a 16 month old boy. His sons name is Lyric Santana Smith. His musical influences are Otis Redding, Billie Holiday, and Soundgarden. Before his son was born he was addicted to cocain a lot, now you see him with 1 or 2 beers around him.When his son was born he had to stop using a lot of drugs. He realized it wasn't about just him anymore it was about his son now.He was playing at the New York State Fair August 29,2009.Brent will be getting married on Holloween!!!!!
