1) Boot is a Swedish neo-folk trio with members from the band Hedningarna (including Hållbus Totte Mattsson and Björn Tollin) plus Ola Bäckström (from Swåp and Den Fule), along with three whirling dancers. The band released "Virvla" in 1999.
2) Boot was an American hard rock band active in the 1970s. The band's only album is titled "Boot".
3) Boot is a multi-discipline musician and electronic music producer based in Sydney, Australia. 2011 saw Boot change direction and refine his sound further towards darker, more cerebral territory. Disillusioned with the more ravey dancefloor end of dubstep, Boot has found solace and influence in more minimal, spacier grooves, such as those from Kryptic Minds, Youngsta, Phaeleh & DJ Madd.
For live sets Boot more often than not pairs up with his partner in crime Sook, as The Abyss, who have supported countless international artists over the several years they've been performing together.
As well as playing and writing music, Boot also runs Requiem Audio with fellow Australian producer Droid Sector, with releases from a veritable who's who of the darker dancefloor sound, such as Babylon System, Matt U, SPL, Triage, The Bassist, Matta, Dubtek, Sook, The Subdivision, Chewie, TZR, Press, J. Nitrous, 3rdeye, Safire, Sounds Of Solidarity & Unsub.
Boot has both vinyl and digital releases on labels such as Ad Noiseam, Requiem Audio, Paradise Lost, Terminal Dusk, Onset Audio, Rogue Dubs, Stoke Audio and Gamma Audio, and has received DJ support from high profile artists like Scuba, Distance, Phaeleh, TMSV Antiserum, Triage, & Droid Sector.
