Biography
Having won the National Mandolin championship in Winfield, Kansas, the Buck White International Mandolin Championship in Kerrville, Texas, and the World Mandolin Championship in Des Moines, Iowa, Bobby can only be called a true mandolin virtuoso. Bobby began his musical career alongside another Oklahoma native, Vince Gill as a member of the Bluegrass Review. After moving to Nashville in 1983, he became a well sought after instrumentalist and worked with Vassar Clements, Larry McNeely, Peter Rowan, the Bluegrass Cardinals and spent 16 years with Mike Snider.
Bobby has recorded two solo albums and worked on other album projects with the likes of Ricky Skaggs and Vince Gill. His original music was featured for several years on TNN and CMT as the theme music for “Celebrity Outdoors” and “Southern Outdoors” and he performed on the soundtrack for the PBS special “Rachel & Andrew”, the love story of Andrew and Rachel Jackson.

Dr. Bobby Clark, an ordained Baptist minister with a Doctorate in Christian Education, has served God in a number of pulpits. He pastored the congregation of Buena Vista Baptist Temple in Orlando, Florida and his ministry later expanded into church planting.
For 16 years, Dr. Clark pastored First Baptist Church of Winter Springs, Florida. This church, which Bobby founded, experienced tremendous growth during his ministry there. He then went on to establish Ranchland Christian School and Bible Institute.
In Bobby's early years of ministry, he served with Dr. Rex Humbard; Cathedral of Tomorrow on the music satff. Later, he became the Associate Pastor of Indianapolis Baptist Temple and served with Dr. Greg Dixon.
His education includes Bob Jones University, Greenville, South Carolina; Midwestern Baptist Seminary; Pontiac, Michigan; Liberty College, Jacksonville, Florida; and Trinity Baptist College, Knoxville, Tn.
Robert "Bobby" Clark is also a familiar name in gospel music. When you hear Bobby sing, you hear more than words and a melody. Each performance by Clark combines his years of experience, extensive musical training, and true heart for ministry. He served as the original first tenor for the Cathedral Quartet. In addition to this veteran group, Bobby's voice has been a cornerstone of many others who pioneered the field of Southern Gospel: Oak Ridge Quartet, Rangers Quartet, Weatherford Quartet, and the Dixie Echoes Quartet.
Among the schools where Bobby Clark has studied are Michigan's Cranbrook Institute of Music in Bloomfield Hills and Wayne State University in Detroit. While studying at the Cleveland Institute of Music, Bobby's training advanced tremendously. Clark was awarded a vocal scholarship to study with the renown Elenore Steber of New York City's Metropolitan Opera. The crystal voice of Bobby Clark became a staple of such companies as the Starlight Opera Theater in Kansas City, Missouri. His talents were also secured in residency with Florida's Orlando Opera Company.
Bobby's voice has contributed to a number of Country music recordings. Country artists with which Clark has worked include Marty Robbins, Jimmy Dean, and Hank Snow.
In no music genre is Bobby Clark more comfortable than that which expresses his deep faith in God. His musical ministry has been used of God as a quartet singer for Rex Humbard and he has also served on programs with such widely know ministers as Jerry Falwell and John R. Rice. He was recognized in 1994 at the Grand Ole Gospel Reunion of Greenville, South Carolina, when they honored him with the Living Legend Award.
Dr. Clark is also an author of a series of Bible study booklets. He has conducted a number of programs for radio and television broadcasts.
