Biography

Blackholes is a Buckinghamshire-based alternative rock band which was formed in 2006 by members of pop-punk band Crackout, following the group's demise the previous year. It features Steven Eagles (vocals and guitar), Nicholas Millard (drums), Simon Plumbley (guitar, vocals and keyboards) and Alex Szrok (bass and vocals).

After a few low-key gigs in London at the end of 2005, the members of Crackout broke up the band, nonetheless continuing to play together under the newly-adopted moniker Blackholes. The material which had been written and recorded the previous summer to comprise Crackout's 3rd album illustrates a more jazz-influenced style, and was retained by Blackholes and put out on the 'Alcohol EP' in late 2006, shortly after Jack Dunkley left the band to be replaced by Szrok.
