Biography

30 year old DJ and Producer Christopher Arnold has been writing and producing dance tracks since the summer of 1997 with his indoctrination into the so-cal rave scene. Back in 1994 he had discovered a weathered Roland Jupiter 6 that his college roommate had tucked away since the 80's. Spending countless hours and days searching the sonic ether with VCOs, LFOs and envelopes and armed with a small arsenal of analog music production gear he started to piece together what would become the first of many recording studios and work spaces where he could craft his unique sound. Since those early days he has graced the second stage at Lollapalooza, pumped up crowed in Acapulco, Mexico for the Ministry of Sound world tour, and DJ'd countless clubs and raves throughout California. Bitwise has brought his unique blend of smooth progressive house and breaks to local Los Angeles crowds and traveled as far east as Taipei and Lan Kwai Fong. There is no doubt he is on a relentless path towards success. Bitwise released his first album "Solar Limb" in 2001 and a follow up album "Rhythm Sections" in 2003. In 2005 his dance hit "Acapulco" was picked up by System Recording from New York, making its debuted on several dance compilations in the US. Most recently, Bitwise can be found back in the studio producing singles and remixes with close friend and renowned DJ/Producer Jacob Ofilas aka "DJ Thee-O". It's no surprise that this duo is on a mission to take the online music world by storm. You can grab Bitwise's latest tracks through digital distribution outlets iTunes and beatport.com or, for the tech cognoscenti, just subscribe to the latest dose of progressive house mixed, shaken and stirred into his monthly iTunes podcast: "microsound".
