Biography
Bird Control is a rockband based in Haarlem, the Netherlands and was formed in 2009. Bird Control is Stijn van Wees (guitar,vocals) Sim Kaart (organs, synths), Siebe Bluijs (bass) and Jip van der Duin (drums).
The rockband consisting of four young men with a passion for music from the late sixties and early seventies. While drawing from this Weltschermz the band is very conscious of the present time; adding progressive elements to a somewhat conservative notion of the great days of popculture.
Bird Control was formed in 2009 by Stijn van Wees and Sim Kaart who adressed drummer Jip van der Duin and bass player Siebe Bluijs in the pub "het Melkwoud" in Haarlem to form a band. In december 2010 they released their selftitled debut album (also referred to as Aéro-Mongolfière de Piláire de Rozier (16 juin 1785) by some people) in a limited numbered edition of 200 cd's. Currently the band is working on their second album at Voodoovox Studios in Haarlem.
