“Living Single” first surfaced online in July of 2016 and was reported as an unreleased track from Chance’s Coloring Book studio sessions.
Later that year, on December 17, Big Sean released the track officially, making it the third single from his fourth studio album, I Decided. He decided to release the final version of “Living Single” in celebration of “Bounce Back” reaching the Top 40 on the Billboard Hot 100.
