Ben Harper and Tom Freund was the pairing of American singer-songwriters Ben Harper and Tom Freund for the 1992 album "Pleasure and Pain".

Ben Harper's first album, performed with Tom Fruend, (his former bandmate in the group Thirsty Dog) is a strong debut of a talent about to make his mark. Though there is nothing remarkable about this album of covers and a few originals, it is a must have to hardcore Harper fans. Among the familiar tracks is an early version of Harper's "Mama's Got a Girlfriend Now" and "Pleasure and Pain" The pair also cover songs such as John Prine's "Angel From Montgomery" Robert johnson's "Dust My Broom" and Bob Fuller's "Quarter of a Man"

You can sit and listen to this album from beginning to end, treasuring the early voice of a talented performer about to find himself through his music. This album is a must for Ben Harper fans.

This album was released only on Vinyl in a Limited Edition of 1500 copies…so good luck actually finding a REAL one.
