Biography
Attempted Control was a hardcore punk band from Syracuse, NY. Josh and Mike had been planning on starting an OI influenced band for a couple years when they asked local punk "Fat" Zac Connor to play bass. They soon managed to write and demo 6 rough songs (5 made the demo) and began a search for a vocalist. Somehow impressed with his worst Bruisers imitation the three called upon fellow local punk and high school friend Daniel Cafferty to fill the void.
The band practiced throughout the month of May 2007 and soon played it's first show the following month. They continued to play through the year as well as the first half of 2008 until Josh made his possible intentions to leave the band clear. Unsure of their future, Attempted Control played as a full band one last time that July and promptly went on hiatus.
Zac and Mike wanted to carry on while Dan was left unsure about continuing the band with one original member gone. A decision was never reached between the three. Less than two months later on August 28th Zac passed away unexpectedly in his sleep.
On November 30th, 2008, the three surviving members along with official A.C. scab Mungmike played one last show at the third annual Assault City Hardcore Fest. An event held as a benefit in Zac's honor.
