"Ativan", the 13th song, is really about the most straightforward song on the album. It's just a garage-rock pop song about being addicted to Ativan, which is something I deal with. It's kind of cliché probably, but I don't care. It's an honest song, and it talks a lot about how things have changed between me and Lockett's relationship and how he's met a girl and, I mean, our friendship is never gonna change, but it's difficult sometimes. It's written from the perspective of somebody that just wants to not deal with the reality that's going on. I know that things aren't going to be the same, and so I'd rather just take whatever drugs it takes to go to sleep and sleep through it, you know? I'm not prepared to face it yet. -Bradford Cox
