1) Asthenic releases mixes of synthwave, retrowave, lo-fi, and several other genres on YouTube.
2) ASTHENIC was a band created in St. Petersburg, Russia in 2010. Their music style was described by Roadrunner Records as a "heavy-russian-Incubus" combines heavy guitar sound and melodious vocals. Despite band’s Russian origins all songs are executed in English, presenting both lyrical motives and rigid social themes.
In 2012 ASTHENIC released their first LP called "Despite Everything".
Release in many aspects reflects it's title essence - experience of overcoming of difficulties at the very beginning of the bands way, resistance to social pressure and rock music industry stagnation in Russia, refusal of usual stereotypes in this genre - pursuits for fashionable post-hardcore sound, dance music injections, imitations of other already popular Russian rock bands.
