Biography
"Arakajime Kimerareta Koibito Tachi" (あらかじめ決められた恋人たちへ) is an epic instrumental band, aka "Arakoi". They have paved their own path garnering praise from high energy gigs in their native Japan. Their signature sound could be most closely approximated between rumbling dub and shoegaze, consisting of sentimental melodies made of melodica and thermin. Each album, live set, and video has a heavy focus on plot, converging varying degrees of emotions into one cinematic universe. So far, they have released 5 studio albums. Transitioning dramatically from tranquility to passion, their performances at many major festivals have garnered rave reviews and their reputation has picked up quickly. Band leader Ikenaga recently has been composing music for films such as Shuichi OKita's "Mohican Kokyoni Kaeru" and Nobuhiro Yamashita's "Misono Universe".
