Biography
Aphex Control, Brian Alexander Morales, was born in Torrence, California on March 16th, 1991. Brian grew up in Downey, California and always loved to dance, sing, and listen to music loudly. His Mexican/Guatemalan heritage taught him many different styles of music which was the beginning to a life surrounded by music. The Youngest of 3 children, Brian went through the early years listening to classic rock like Jimi Hendrix, The Beatles, and Led Zeppelin. As he found himself coming across many house and techno artists such as Daft Punk, Carl Cox, and Felix the House Cat.
With a new sense of music and beats inside of his hears he slowly started crawling away from Rock, and made his way in to the Newest most underground scene of Raving, and House music. One of the first in the city of Downey, California to enter this scene he became fascinated with the beat-mashing and the harmonious sound of the record be scratched, he felt his proper place in the music world was behind the decks. Soon after he teamed up with long time friend Michael Sabir and formed his first DJ dou called Itchy And Scratchy. The pair's unique sense of style and music was at first seen as odd and unwanted in early summer 2008, as they began spinning at parties around the Greater Los Angeles Area. But soon enough the party scene was craving for more House music. By January of 2009 the House scene and exploded again as it did in the 90s.
Itchy & Scratchy still spin at parties in Los Angeles, Itchy (Brian) slowly began a solo DJing career and named himself Aphex Control. Still Small Time DJ, he is showing promising attributes, and connections being made in the DJ world of LA that will soon shoot him to the stars. Aphex Control also said he is beginning to make his own new age house/ hard house beats. Now with so many artistes influencing his styles, his new beats will sound something like, Deadmau5, Kill the Noise, The Bloody Beetroots, Axwell, and Felix the House Cat all mixed into a sound that will want to dance, or how he puts it, "Crave the dance floor."
