Biography
There are two or more artists named Antipode:
1) Antipode is a solo electronic music act based in San Diego which explores many musical genres and concepts using big beats, massive synths, and open soundscapes. Antipode's music focuses on memorable melodies and has style to spare!
Since 2004, Gary Western (as Antipode) has produced electronic music almost entirely in sequencing and audio editing software, maintaining a unique style which often attempts integrate two or more opposing musical patterns or textures. Gary plays piano and studied Music Recording/Technology at CSU Monterey Bay.
2) Antipode is Russian nu-metal band with female vocal from Novosibirsk City. It was formed in 2006 as pop-rock band by vocalist Alexandra Kosagovskaya and guitarist Vitaly Koshelev. Later in 2008 band had new born with new hard nu-metal sound after Vitaly left the band. Alex Rotanov replaced his as guitarist and songwriter. In the end of 2013 Antipode announced the end of band existence, because Alexandra and Alex moved to the USA. But who knows, maybe they will play something there?
