Biography
Allen Hurt has been entertaining since the age of 10 and has written many original songs holding a contemporary Bluegrass & Country style to each one. Over the years, Allen’s music has gained airplay on radio stations throughout the US and Europe. His career would cross paths with music legends such as Del McCoury, Don Williams, Bobby Bare, Ray Price along with his mentor Porter Wagoner.
Allen made man…y guest appearances on the Poter Wagoner Show as the "Rhinestone Kid". Continuing to write songs and play the Bluegrass music he loves, Allen proudly performs today with his band “The Mountain Showmen” .
Allen and band are 2012 Inductee's to the Texas Country Music Hall Of Fame, Members of the International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA), Central Texas Bluegrass Association (CTBA) and the Fort Worth Songwriters Association.
