Ad Infinitum

Abyss is some half-baked garbage. I knew after the last album landed with me that it probably wouldn't last. Extremely uninspiring weak crap, and I hope they come to recognize it. They have and can do better.

Mmm yeah I think the new album is kinda crappy. It sounds like "Melissa Bonny - Abyss" instead of an Ad Infinitum release. Completely different style to the previous three albums, lacks all the previous melodic riffs in favour of an overproduced pop kinda sound, and a lot of songs I'm not even sure a band is present. Skipping this one for the most part, didn't enjoy it.

As a fan since their debut Chapter I, i'm not disappointed with new album "Abyss". My Halo, Outer Space, Euphoria, The One You'll Hold On To, Parasite. I'm satisfied :)

New album have sounds like a softer poppier version of Spiritbox, and i’m fine with it…

I mean, I liked it, some of the tracks on the second half of the album are fun, but it lacks something, AD INFINITUM was never a HEAVY band, but with Abyss the sound feels so... Empty. Maybe it'll grow on me, I don't know. My favorite track unfortunately is Outer Space, an "old" one.

I'm pretty sure I'm gonna miss the symphonic metal elements they had when I finally get to hear their new album, but at the same time I like the 3 singles they've released so far, so I don't know what to think. I just hope they don't turn into another Within Temptation.

Yet another great symphonic metal band moving into the dance/pop direction.

Melissa Bonny's AD INFINITUM announced their next TRILOGY with the first album being released on 10/11/24. There's a new single out called "My Halo" that showcases a little bit of a new approach on their sound.

Not as patriotic as Iced Earth

Every time I listen to Animals I think that Melissa will sing "I'm waiting for your last goodbye, cause I'm not over it" on the chorus but I never get that. Jokes aside, Chapter II - Legacy is just 1 day away finally!!

New single is good, and it looks like "Chapter II - Legacy" is gonna be a concept album about Vlad the Impaler. That's pretty fucking metal tbh, I'm stoked.

It was a great idea to put out an acoustic version of the album. They did an amazing job again.

Stunning band, no defects

I have no clue why "See You In Hell" was not the lead single.

With hearing the first note I was like "wait, isn't that the Stream of Passion singer?" I swear, they have 1:1 the exact same voice... I still can't believe it's not the same singer.

bland pop metal

Love Melissa's voice but I didn't really vibe with Rage Of Light. *THIS* on the other hand, SLAYS. I'm also hearing the Delain influences that others have mentioned but that's not a bad thing at all. In fact, I think I might like Monarchy more than I liked Apocalypse & Chill...

After several plays, anyone noticed the chorus of "Revenge" is similar to Delain's "Sleepwalkers Dream" and "Shattered" songs? The final high pitch and the keyboard. I love that though, this is a great inspiration! <3

I am glad the album is truly great! Melissa has developed her voice so much, the music compositions are very enjoyable, Power/Symphonic metal sound. Promising debut indeed!

Monarchy is very enjoyable. Fantastic debut! Can only see it getting more love as the spins continue. Haven’t quite locked in a top 3 for highlights yet. Nothing against RoL, i do like them but It feels like Melissa is more at home in this setting, which allows her to really showcase her talent, range and styles. It’s much more preferable anyways from a personal perspective. The Acoustic renditions are excellent as well, especially the one for Tell Me Why
