Biography
I am originally a keyboard player with over 4 years of experience. I had at least 100 written riffs in a book stolen from me.Writing songs on a computer seemed like a logical step to ensure that I would have some kind of catalogue.
Now there is a formula to my musical madness. It begins with my disdain for the predictable and useless thoughts of the mainstream public. 99% of billboard, muchmusic and mtv come to mind. American Idol and all of it subsidiaries also come to mind. Exploitation takes place on a grand scale and the public is the number one victim and they don't even know it.
It then cherishes the kind of bliss any parent must feel when their creation blooms and grows. This music works on an interpersonal level, which focuses on self-reflection and is negated by the mainstreams herd mentality. In the famous words of Timothy Leary, “Think for yourself, question authority”.
This music is not made to appeal to the masses, its intended to be a nugget in the counterculture. If you enjoy this stuff then I am proud of you. It is not an easy listen by any means. This music is Anti Hollywood and it takes a chaotic yet sensible mind to listen to this page in its entirety.
This project intends to be a artistic endeavor that will feature monstrous collaborations in inspiring artworks, animated music videos, and of course the music itself.I will introduce philosophical concepts and engage them into the realm of the paranormal through the use of psychedelics.
Acidmath is influenced by evolution and its relationship to technology, the religious debate and spirituality in general, dreams, eastern Zen Buddhist philosophical teachings, science fiction and western philosophical literature, dark anime movies, Alex Grey, the dark comedic styling’s of Bill Hicks, The Doors to Tool, drum and bass, jungle, industrial, progressive rock, alternative rock and of course dubstep.
