Biography
8 Storey Window were a four and sometimes three piece band active from 1992 to 1995. The band comprised of Chris Conklin ( singer, guitarist, songwriter) and Steve George, later bass player with the influential band Swervedriver and Andy Crisp (later of 12 Rounds on drums. Steve was replaced by Paul (last name?) and a second guitarist was added (Mark ??).
The band released an two eps on Mad Minute Records, the label started by Jim Chancellor (later to sign Snow Patrol) and Ben Durling (later to sign The Killers). The band then signed to Ultimate Records in 1994. They were managed by Jim, and went released their eponymously titled album in 1994 8 Storey Window with its USA release following in 1995 on A&M records. The album was produced by Terry Bickers, the legendary guitarist for influential band House of Love and Levitation, and also by Paul Tipler (producer of many influential bands such as Stereolab
