BIOGRAPHY
With the determination of a winner and the voice of an angel, 5 mIc-Z aka Aaron Forte; a Multi-talented artist, who is much more than a Singer was born in Newark, NJ on May 31, 1981.
After a split between his parents, 5 mIc-Z mother then moved to the south; following behind her huge family and made Florida their home.
5 mIc-Z mother had quickly enrolled him into sports, after settling into the state that had become their new home.
5 mIc-Z proved to be a very talented athlete who had started creating a good buzz while earning a name for him, in the field of sports.
As the years passed, 5 mIc-Z great love and passion for sports began to quickly fade as the once “hidden” passion overpowered other passions and highly motivated him to turn so many years of outward focus; into a determined, inward one.
Over the course of turning his focus inwards, so as to gain new insight and energy from taking control of his life’s new future, 5 mIc-Z learned that wealth was not the only aspect of life that could turn one’s focus inward. “Staying true to who you are” would soon prove to be a “priceless” focal point to grow and succeed as a relevant and versatile Artist, whom continuously stays “fresh” while in tune with keeping his craft perfected.
As the itch turned into a scratch, 5 mIc-Z new passion was secretly starting to show. He danced around in the living room to the pop sounds of Michael Jackson, snapping fingers and mocking the “Humming Bird Tweets”, Smokey Robinson hummed.
5 mIc-Z knew he wanted to follow the footsteps of the music legends that diversified and crossed chart topping boundaries with sound versatility.
While growing up “harmonizing” to the voices of “Boyz II Men”, 5 mIc-Z and a few of his cousins formed a group of their own, named "C.O.A."
After three (3) years together, "C.O.A." disbanded due to the clarity that they all had different visions and goals for their music endeavors.
Two (2) of the members Stevie Jackson aka "Dirty Old Man” Joe Reese and Aaron Forte aka "Ryde Wit Me Dogg", remained together. They started a “Duo Act” named "Ace Hygh".
In the first few years, things were looking great for the new duo, but after seven rough years together and not seeing “eye-to-eye” had become a daily and unwanted agenda. Business, career and music decisions became even harder for the duo to agree on, slowing down all progressions for any potential successes which required finalization. Once known for their “Dynamic Duo” relationship, had turned into a major distraction for the duo; in order to continue forward with any music “partnership related” career.
Although the love for music was instilled in both of their hearts, the love for making it, while being an “Duo Act”, was no longer carrying the weight of any future importance. The duo, mutually decided to part ways in late 2010; to pursue their solo careers.
5 mIc-Z started producing and writing for his first solo album entitled "My name is Aaron".
Even though “C.O.A” and “Ace Hygh” had parted ways, three (3) of the disbanded Artists, including “5 mIc-Z” had continued stay in touch and collaborate on music.
In December of 2010, 5 mIc-Z released one of his singles as “Aaron Forte” entitled "Lady Your" featuring only two people; "Dirty Old Man, Joe Reese" and "Young Problems” from April of 2011.
Over the course of a decade, 5 mIc-Z gained further expertise, knowledge and experience as a Songwriter, Music Producer, Records Arranger, Pro Mixer and Mastering, as well as, Beat Maker.
5 mIc-Z music can be heard on radio stations, college stations and satellite radio, internet stations, just to name a few.
