Biography
1-Syntax-1 was a British Synthpop-Minimal Electro group from Dewsbury and Batley.
At the time of release the three members of the band were aged 19 to 20, they were:
Chris Benecke – Vocals,
Rob Gospel – Bass Guitar and Drum Programming,
Gary Scargill – Keyboards and Programming.
The band split up around 1985, with members going on to collaborate with other bands from around west Yorkshire, including Camera Obscura, Paradise Now and Hoi Poloi (with Steve Wright from Fiat Lux ).
