Biography
Arirang (in Korean: 아리랑) is a pop group from China, members: Kim Taeknam (김택남, leader, born Oct 10, 1979), Kim Yunkil (김윤길), Jang Jinwoo (장진우) and Kwon Hyeok (권혁), 4 Korean Chinese men from Jilin Province, China. The group is named under "Arirang", a symbolic Korean folk song well-known in Korea, China and Japan.
Arirang was founded in 2002, and published their first CD "Arirang" in 2003. All the members of Arirang speak Korean as their first language and Chinese Mandarin at native level. Publishing a Korean album in South Korea, Arirang is also considered the first band from China mainland that successfully published an album overseas.
