Gu Hye Sun (Korean: 구혜선) is a popular South Korean actress, author, artist, director and singer who has recently gained fame in the hit drama Pure in Heart (열 아홉 순정) as the starring role, Gukhwa, and also sang its title song. She is well-known for portraying Geum Jan Di in KBS 2TV's drama Boys Over Flowers, together with Lee Min Ho, Kim Hyun Joong, Kim Bum and Kim Joon.

Goo Hye Sun also starred in many other roles. She gained attention for appearing as a cameo role in the film August Rush, playing a beggar. She is in YG Entertainment. She started her career in acting in 2005, appearing in Nonstop 5.

She sang "Saranga" which became the title song of the Pure in Heart drama, and Shim Soo Bong's "I Don't Know Anything But Love" in Boys Over Flowers. She also did a duet of Kim Gun Mo's "Rain Falls on a Sleepless Night" with Big Bang member Seungri on talk show Peppermint on March 7, 2009.

She was originally supposed to debut in a group with 2NE1's Sandara Park and Park Bom, but now prepares to release a solo album. In Episode 4 of 2NE1TV, they were shown visiting fellow YG Entertainment colleague, Koo Hye Sun's art exhibition. Park Bom revealed on the show, "Back in 2005, Koo Hye Sun, Sandara Park, and I joined YG and were told that we were going to become a three-member girl group."

Koo had been preparing for her album for a while, but the album release date was pushed back because of her book Tango and her art exhibition. She will be receiving help from 1tym members Oh Jin Hwan and Song Baek Kyung, and Tablo for her upcoming album. Her first album will include OSTs of her Full-Length Movie and is slated to release in Fall 2009.
