Chen Kun (Chinese: 陳坤; pinyin: Chén Kūn; born February 4, 1976 in Chongqing, Sichuan) is a Chinese actor and singer. He also goes by another name, Aloys. One of his best known roles to the international audience was in Balzac and the Little Chinese Seamstress (film). Nowadays he resides in Beijing.
Many people only see Chen Kun as an actor, but after the success of his first album, Osmosis in 2004, he became a professional singer and was received well by fans and critics. Recently Chen Kun released his second album, To Come True Again in May 2006 singing R&B for the first time.
He has enjoyed success in both acting and singing. He was first a singer of traditional Chinese songs, and then went to Drama university to become an actor. After graduating he has had roles in many films and dramas, becoming one of China’s most sought after young actors.
In 2008, he had participated in the Hong Kong series produced by TVB known as C’est La Vie, Mon Cheri also known as Endless Love with the Fiona Sit as his love interest in the series.
