末光篤 (Suemitsu Atsushi - スエミツ アツシ) is an pianist/composer/vocalist from Japan. Born 4 June 1971 in Hiroshima Prefecture and graduate of Nagoya Music University, he began experimenting with rock and music theory while in college. Suemitsu also traveled to Paris for one year to hone his skills as a classically trained pianist.
He became more well-known when he participated in the 2004 project, MOSH PIT ON DISNEY. This collaborative album was a collection of Disney song covers from various artists such as ACIDMAN, the band apart, DOPING PANDA, BEAT CRUSADERS, and more, including Suemitsu. On that album he simply went by the name, The Suemith, and performed a cover of “Part of Your World” from The Little Mermaid.
His major debut was in 2006 , when he signed a contract with Kuhn record (キューンレコード).
Atsushi is also releasing albums under his solo project name SUEMITSU & THE SUEMITH.
