Tsuki no Kakera formed sometime in late 1999/early 2000. The group is best known for its frontman, Ren (then known as Hasu), who went on to become the frontman of Dali, one of the most popular visual kei bands of the late 2000's. The music of Tsuki no Kakera was quite unique, as it featured an interesting mysterious gothic aura, with heavy metalcore-esqued rhythms layered on top. The group released four demos and two singles, before splitting in 2001.
