志村香 (Kaori Shimura) was a Japanese pop idol active during 1985 to 1986. She released five albums during this time, but only achieved moderate success. When it was clear her singing career wasn't going far, she tried her hand at acting, but again only reached moderate success. She retired from the industry when her agency contract expired. Altogether, her career only lasted from 1985 to around 1988.
