Biography
ILLUSION (幻世狂想樂隊) was formed by Keyboardist Hou Junshuo (Jason) and vocalist Li Tianji (Li) in 2002 when they were in high school. The band played pop and rock music at first. After graduating, the other members left. Li and Jason found a new guitarist, Liang Zhipeng, in 2003. Jason decided to change the musical focus of the band to symphonic power metal since all of the members were fans of Rhapsody, Nightwish and X-Japan ("Art of Life is symphonic power metal!"). The band began to write and record songs for their first album "Invincible" in 2003 at Jason's home studio. Li wrote the lyrics and Jason wrote the music. In early 2006, they found another guitarist, Gu Ying, to finish the album. After 3 years of hard work, in August 2006, the band released their album "Invincible" through a new record company called "R.H.C International" in Beijing.
