岡村孝子 (Takako OKAMURA) is a Japanese singer - songwriter who has been active on the Japanese popular music scene since 1982.

あみん (AMING)
She started the action as a folk-duo group "AMING" (pronoucing 'A-MI-N') with Ms. Haruko KATO on May 1982. The debut-song "Matsu-wa" became a million-seller song. "Matsu-wa" means "I will wait until you come back to me" in English.
However, the group was disbanded on Nov. 1983, and her activities on music were simultaneously suspended for about two years.

Solo-singer
She made a redebut as a solo-singer on Oct. 1985, and has released twenty six singles and twelve albums.
The first eleven albums were released almost an album every year from 1985 to 1996, and the last album "Reborn" was done in 2000.
Some of the songs were applied to the theme songs of the important events or TV CM. For examle,

* "Heroine" (1995) -> NHK theme song for 'the Asian games of field and track events' at Hiroshima, Japan.
* "Forever romance" (1993) -> NTV theme song for the wedding ceremony of the Prince of Japan.
* "Ashita no shiawase" (1996) -> TV CM of a lactic acid beverage (Calpis)

There are many songs applied for the TV-CM of an automobile, an insurance company of fire and marine, potato-chips, etc…

She was married on 3rd Jan., 1997, and suspended the music activities between the beginning of 1997 and Aug., 2000, because she gave birth to a baby (Saki-chan, female) on 12th Sept., 1997.
