Biography

Olga Fedoseyevna Sergeeva (September 27, 1922 - December 8, 2002) - was a prominent russian folklore singer. She became the musical symbol of the homeland for Andrei Tarkovsky in his film "Nostalgia" (songs performed by Sergeeva are sounded in this movie). "The sign of Russian" - so Andrei Tarkovsky defined the Olga Sergeeva's songs .
Over 300 songs were recorded in the most various genres performed by Olga Sergeeva. Ritual songs and old lyric prevail in her richest repertoire which indicates the high artistic taste of Olga Sergeeva.
