Biography
Šrouby (Screws in English) is a Czech hard core band from Olomouc (although members of the band come from the cities Praha, Šumperk and Vsetín). Their sound can be compared to early Helmet, but unlike them Šrouby favour slow to medium paced sound with frequent fast outburst. Their lyrics are also very distinct, since, on the contrary to most of their peers, they deal with such topic as communication, perception of both outer and inner world, and faith.
They released their first demo in 1998, followed by a live recording released the same year. Their next and at the same time last record was released 9 years later and is simply called Šrouby 2007.
Since 2005 the line-up had consisted of Marek - g, voc (Praha), Staňa - bg (Vsetín), Milan - dr (Olomouc) and Kučis - voc (Šumperk); however, Milan recently left the band.New drummer is Petr Nosálek since february 2009.
