Şükrü Tunar (1907-1962) was a Turkish clarinettist and composer.

Tunar was born in Edremit, a small town in the Aegean region of Turkey, the son of a worker. Although no-one else in his family had an interest in music, he attempted to play folk songs on a simple tin flute when he was a small child. At the age of seven he saw a soldier playing the clarinet and decided to learn to play. He became an acknowleged master of the Turkish clarinet, performing and recording both solo and in small ensembles of , , , , and . He died of a heart attack while performing.
