The Festival is proud to present two true pioneers of modern music: German electronic wizards Kraftwerk and dynamic American composer Steve Reich, joining forces for this unique show at the stunning Manchester Velodrome.
Kraftwerk have spent the last four decades as one of the most influential bands in pop history. The group will be returning to Manchester for the first time since their near-legendary concert at the Apollo in 2004, and will be performing a two-hour set drawing on their entire catalogue.
This exclusive event will feature the world premiere of Steve Reich’s 2×5. Commissioned by the Festival, it will be directed by the composer and performed by New York’s Bang on a Can.
