Description
The artist formerly known as Smog is the godfather of melancholic indie folk. Armed with a baritone voice - the instrument of choice for true miserabilists - he puts the 'i' into introspection. He'll be performing songs from a new album Woke on a Whaleheart, which tones down the gloom and makes for a "deceptively easy listen - steady, lulling, and vehemently organic," according to Pitchfork's Amanda Petrusich.
