Description

Lianne La Havas had a meteoric rise; in just over 3 years, the young British artist with Greek and Jamaican origins became one of the unavoidable names in British music. Portugal had the chance to witness it in 2015 and 2018, and so, the longing is already felt. Now, after releasing her self-titled album "Lianne La Havas" in 2020, the artist returns to our country for two shows, on July 15th at LAV and July 16th at Hard Club, to review a career filled with talent.
With a father, grandfather, and uncle who are musicians, Lianne La Havas has always had music running in her veins. Proof of this is her first song composed at just 11 years old, and it was clear from the start that this was her path. The evidence came with her first EP "Lost & Found," which introduced her to the world and led her to the prestigious "Later... With Jools Holland" the following year. Then came the confirmation with "Is Your Love Big Enough?" earning her a Mercury Prize nomination and being chosen as the album of the year for 2012 by iTunes.

In the following years, her life changed. She traveled the world showcasing her music, greatly appreciated by names like Prince, Jill Scott, and Bon Iver, and released two more albums widely admired by critics, "Blood" in 2015 and the aforementioned "Lianne La Havas" in 2020. Now, 6 long years later, it's time to return to our country and reunite with the many Portuguese fans she has.
